Gridmux is a desktop application built on Electron.

Gridmux ships as an NSIS installer (.exe).

  1. Run the Gridmux setup .exe.
  2. Choose the installation directory (the installer is per-machine and lets you change the install location).
  3. The installer can create a desktop shortcut and a Start Menu shortcut.
  4. Finish, then launch Gridmux.

Detected shells on Windows: PowerShell and CMD are always available; PowerShell 7 (pwsh), Git Bash, and WSL appear only when they’re installed (WSL requires an Ubuntu or Debian distribution).

Detected shells on macOS: zsh (default) and bash.

Detected shells on Linux: bash (default), zsh, and sh.

On first launch Gridmux opens with a single workspace and one terminal using your platform’s default shell. Continue with Activating your license if you purchased an Extended edition, or read the Introduction for an overview.
