Installation
Gridmux is a desktop application built on Electron.
Windows
Section titled “Windows”Gridmux ships as an NSIS installer (.exe).
- Run the Gridmux setup
.exe. - Choose the installation directory (the installer is per-machine and lets you change the install location).
- The installer can create a desktop shortcut and a Start Menu shortcut.
- Finish, then launch Gridmux.
Detected shells on Windows: PowerShell and CMD are always available; PowerShell 7
(pwsh), Git Bash, and WSL appear only when they’re installed (WSL requires an
Ubuntu or Debian distribution).
Detected shells on macOS: zsh (default) and bash.
Detected shells on Linux: bash (default), zsh, and sh.
After installing
Section titled “After installing”On first launch Gridmux opens with a single workspace and one terminal using your platform’s default shell. Continue with Activating your license if you purchased an Extended edition, or read the Introduction for an overview.
